Mehta boss Mark Zuckerberg parked his private jet right next to Trump's troops on a Friday while visiting Palm Beach, Florida, to meet with the incoming 47th president.
Zuckerberg, 40, was wearing a close-fitting suit and tie when he was spotted boarding a Gulfstream G650 jet at Palm Beach International Airport.
The tech giant's jet is parked in the shadow of President-elect Donald Trump's much larger, custom-built Boeing 757, which he plans to replace with Air Force One within two weeks.
Earlier in the day, the billionaire Facebook founder met with President Trump at his nearby Mar-a-Lago mansion, sources told the Post.
This will be at least the second time Zuckerberg has met with Trump, 78, at Mar-a-Lago since the president-elect won a landslide victory in the 2024 presidential election.
Mehta said the first meeting, reportedly initiated by Zuckerberg, took place on Thanksgiving night and included discussions about the “incoming administration.”
Mr. Zuckerberg also had at least two private phone calls with Mr. Trump over the summer, but after being banned from the social media platform in the wake of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol, Mr. He has been trying to repair his relationship with the president. .
Since Trump's Election Day victory, Zuckerberg has donated $1 million to the president-elect's inaugural fund, ended third-party fact-checking on Facebook, and promoted Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Meta Inc. We abolished our gender policy. The move was addressed to President Trump ahead of his second term in the White House, indicating that the tech giants are trying to get along.
In July, Meta also lifted remaining restrictions on Trump's Facebook and Instagram accounts that were put in place after the riot.
The Facebook founder also publicly praised President Trump after an assassination attempt in July in which the president-elect was seen defiantly raising his fist with blood running down his face. Zuckerberg called the response “terrible.”
This deepening bond is in stark contrast to President Trump's comments about Zuckerberg before last summer.
Last March, in a post on Truth Social, Trump described Facebook as “the true enemy of the people” and claimed that Zuckerberg's company “rigged the last election.”
President Trump appeared to be referring to the more than $400 million that Zuckerberg spent on local campaign fundraising in 2020.
The so-called “Zuckerbucks” initiative was heavily criticized by Republicans as an attempt to influence the 2020 vote.
Mr. Zuckerberg did not pursue leadership in the 2024 election cycle.
Mehta and the Trump transition team did not respond to The Post's requests for comment.
