In her first Instagram post giving a first look at her new living room, Stewart also raved about the Hamptons home on Lily Pond Lane that she previously owned but sold in 2021.

“We changed the living room upholstery from a grey-blue to a creamy pale butter yellow (all the yellow is from Lily Pond Lane, which we sold two years ago!). The study is so much more comfortable and the faux bois table is now a card table. We love the rustic yet elegant charm of this lovely 1925 home,” she told fans.

The photos show different angles of a long living room, which features brown wooden walls and beige furniture. In the center of the spacious living room, two cream chairs and a black bench face each other, and a black coffee table sits in front of the two seating areas.

One side of the wall was painted cream with a brown wooden trim with a fireplace in the middle, and she decorated it with paintings of birds hung individually in black frames.

The long living room had two other similar setups with several large windows to let in light and views of the vast green garden.

The second living room has a similar furniture colour scheme, with light grey wooden furniture and tall plants.

The third room was similar to the first two, furnished with two cream colored couches, matching chairs, a brown coffee table, and a dark brown desk.

Stewart was immediately inundated with comments about her designs, with some praising her old-fashioned style and others describing them as resembling a “furniture showroom.”

“It doesn’t look homely or inviting. Looks more like a furniture showroom than a home. Sad,” someone wrote.

“I hate to say it but I will. Looks like there isn’t even one comfortable chair…. The colours are bland. Looks more like a manly men’s club lobby than a home. As long as you’re happy with it then I think it’s fine,” commented another.

“Wow. Looks like a Marriott suite living room from 1987,” one person shared.

“Not your best work. It feels empty, like your soul is empty,” someone commented.
