Martha Stewart and the Real Housewives Buzz
Could Martha Stewart become one of the most notable “friends of the housewives” on Bravo’s “Real Housewives” series? It seems she’s fitting right in with the cast.
Recently, the domestic icon was seen enjoying a dinner with “The Real Housewives of New York City” at Polo Bar on a Monday night, just before launching her new skincare line.
According to some eyewitnesses, Erin Richie, Jessel Turnk, and Cy De Silva were dining at the popular spot with Stewart’s makeup artist, Daisy Toy.
Stewart reportedly joined the gathering later, draped in what looked like a fur shawl, drawing significant attention.
A source mentioned, “[Stewart] arrived later and everyone was in a stir. She looked stunning.”
This summer, there was speculation about Bravo trying to bring Stewart onto the show, but she quickly nixed that idea, stating that her publicist Susan Magrino was “not Martha.”
Magrino remarked, “She says she’s not a ‘housewife.’”
In contrast, Toy seems to be on a trajectory toward becoming a full-time “housewife.” After Stewart dismissed those earlier rumors, whispers came that executives were considering Toy for a role.
While all this was happening, Don Lemon was reported to be celebrating his four NAACP Image Award nominations at a nearby table. He was accompanied by his husband Tim Malone and agent Jay Suarez. At one moment, he waved, leading the housewives to believe he was acknowledging them, mouthing, “I love you.”
In fact, that affection was directed at Stewart instead.
Stewart later approached Lemon’s table to chat and was overheard discussing Elm Bioscience’s latest product, A30 Elemental Night Cream, which launched Tuesday.
Representatives confirmed that Stewart was merely there to greet Toy. Interestingly, Stewart, a fan of “The Landman,” ran into the show’s star, Ali Larter, who was dining with her daughter. Stewart complimented Larter on her performance, and they also talked about Stewart’s new cream.
