Martin Scorsese has teamed up with Fox Nation on a religious docudrama project titled The Saints, which follows the journeys of eight men and women as they embark on a life of sainthood.
The legendary director is fresh off the success of The Killers of the Flower Moon and shows no signs of slowing down. Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints will begin streaming on Fox Nation in November 2024, according to reports. deadline. Director Scorsese will reportedly host, narrate and executive produce the eight-episode show.

According to Deadline, the series is being created by Matti Leshem, with longtime Scorsese collaborator Kent Jones on board as a writer. Elizabeth Chomko will reportedly be in the director’s chair, with Julie Yorn, Rick Yorn, Christopher Donnelly, Yossi Stone, and Craig Piridian serving as executive producers alongside Scorsese and Leshem.

Lionsgate, Sikelia Productions, Weimaraner Republic Pictures, LBI Entertainment and Halcyon are producing the documentary series, which will be released in two parts, Deadline reported. Each episode will reportedly spotlight a specific saint. According to the outlet, these include Joan of Arc, John the Baptist, Francis of Assisi, Mary Magdalene, Thomas Becket, Moses the Black, Maximilian Kolbe, and Sebastian. The focus will reportedly be on the acts of kindness and sacrifices each saint made during their journey.
The first four episodes will air on November 16th, with the final four coming in May 2025, Deadline reported.

According to Deadline, Scorsese told a press conference while attending the Berlin Film Festival that he is considering making a film about Jesus in the future. (Related: Pope Francis admits he once fell in love)

The acclaimed director will join Matthew McConaughey, Kevin Costner, Dennis Quaid, Rob Lowe and Dan Aykroyd as collaborators at Fox Nation, Deadline reported.
