Mattress Mack lost $500,000 on Texans in latest betting blunder

Jim “Mattress Mack” McInvale is auto-fading every time he bets on a team.

The Houston-based furniture store owner lost $500,000 on three separate Texans bets on the Texans money line (+345), Texans +9.5, and the Texans to win the Super Bowl (January 30). Ta.

Mack placed bets at Caesars Sportsbook, two of which were $210,000 on the Texans +345, worth $724,000, while his bets against the spread were $263,000 and would net him $239,000. It had become.

The minimum bet was just $27,000 for the Texans to win the Super Bowl at 30/1.

This is just the latest in a long series of bad bets for this furniture salesman turned gambler.

In January, Mattress Mack lost $1 million to the Texas Longhorns in the College Football Playoff.

Ever since he hit several bets totaling $43 million on the Houston Astros to win the 2022 World Series, Mack has really struggled to get into the win column from a betting standpoint.

Of course, the common theme with Mack is that he's really only betting on Texas-based teams.

Mack also bet on the Astros to win the 2022 World Series, and watched that bet agonizingly fall by the wayside from his suite.

Customers who purchase a furniture set by a certain date will pay in advance and receive a full refund if their bet is successful.

This promotion for Mack is a surefire sales hedge in case he loses the bet, and he's been doing it a lot lately.

Many speculated that Mack would have put even more money into the Texans through ESPN BET.

The sportsbook advanced the Ravens with an unprecedented boost of -9.5 on Saturday, but Mack did not bet more money on ESPN BET as expected, according to reports.
