Mauricio Umansky's ski injury required a metal plate and 12 screws during emergency surgery.
The reality TV star shared a health update for 800,000 social media followers after suffering serious injuries while traveling to Aspen skiing.
“Thank you to everyone who reached out to us,” Umanski wrote in a statement sharing photos of the ski. “I felt so much love and support.”
“I had surgery on my collarbone, which was a nice break, but I needed a metal plate and 12 screws,” pointed out the “Real Housewife of Beverly Hills” star.

Umansky doesn't plan to require long recovery times as he wore a helmet when the ski accident occurred.

“I hope for a quick recovery,” he wrote. “The doctors and nurses at Aspen Valley Hospital are the best.”
“I was wearing a helmet, and it certainly saved me,” the statement concluded.

Umansky revealed that surgery would be necessary on February 14th. The TV star, still married to Kyle Richards, was seen being carried on ski patrols in the mountains of Snow.
“I feel very blessed to be able to take care of such a wonderful person. Ski patrol. [paramedics]Aspen Hospital, you are all the best. Broken Krabikl,” he wrote in his Instagram story at the time, as he lay down with a medical tube on his nose on his hospital bed.

The second photo he posted was an x-ray of him when he was injured.
