‘Maybe’ Biden Should Preemptively Pardon Cheney, Kinzinger

President-elect Donald Trump spoke on NBC's “Meet the Press” Sunday with President Joe Biden and Democrats Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzinger, Bennie Thompson (D-Mississippi) and Rep. Nancy. He proposed that members of the partisan January 6 Committee should be pardoned. Ms. Pelosi (D-Calif.).

In previous weeks, Democrats and media allies had urged Mr. Biden to pardon a number of their allies, including members of his Jan. 6 partisan committee.

Members of the committee are accused of deleting more than 100 files before Republicans took control of the House in 2022, a move President Trump claims is illegal.

“Mr. Biden could pardon them if he wanted to,” Trump told NBC News' Kristen Welker. “And maybe he should.”

“Remember, the unselected committee did a year and a half of sworn testimony, got all the testimony, then deleted it, waited, and pretty much destroyed everything,” Trump explained. . “There's nothing left. It's unheard of and they deny you doing something like that. If it's a civil case, you'll go to jail.”

“So do you think Liz Cheney should go to prison?” Welker asked Trump.

President Trump responded, “Whoever voted yes…”

“Are you going to direct the FBI director and attorney general to send them to prison?” she followed up.

President Trump said, “Absolutely not.” “I think they need to consider that… They can do whatever they want.”

White House lawyers are considering a preemptive pardon that Biden has discussed with senior aides, according to reports from several establishment media outlets.

Democrats and allies in the media have been urging Biden in recent weeks to pardon a number of his allies, including: mark milley christopher ray, Department of Justice attorney, joe biden oneself, whole Biden family, liz cheney, mark milley, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosiand Adam Kinzingeramong others.

Receiving a preemptive pardon would imply an admission of guilt, but some Democrats argue that a preemptive pardon is only intended to stop Trump from sweeping Washington.
