Mayor Eric Adams calls Thanksgiving parade protesters ‘grinches’, vows ‘no tolerance’ for interruptions

Mayor Eric Adams called potential participants in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade “sulkers” and vowed to prevent any disruption — as anti-Israel rioters plastered the parade route. It's been 1 year since I put it on.

“I want to take the time to let the disgruntled people who believe they are disrupting the parade know that that's not going to happen,” Adams said at the iconic 98th annual He spoke Wednesday night ahead of the parade.

“Similar to how we responded last year, we will continue to stand in the way of those who seek to disrupt the parade in every way possible.”

Last year, anti-Israel demonstrators bathed in fake blood and stuck their hands in the middle of Sixth Avenue, stopping the parade.

Moments earlier, protesters wearing white jumpsuits with the words “colonialism,” “ethnic cleansing” and “fascism” written on them unfurled a banner along the road that read “Liberate Palestine and the Earth.”

Some protesters pretended to be dead by lying on the street, while others poured fake blood over their heads, prompting jeers from the parade's audience.

Then they stuck themselves to the asphalt.

Police eventually arrived and arrested dozens of protesters.

One of them screeched, “My eyes are glued to me, I can't get up,” before the NYPD took him into custody.

This year's festival will have heavy police presence, but Hizzoner warned that the city has “zero tolerance for interference.”

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch told reporters there were “no credible or specific threats” against Thursday's holiday parade.
