Democratic Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson criticized Governor Greg Abbott, Republican of Texas; In a recent appearance on MSNBC, he claimed that cities run by black leaders are being “attacked” by waves of immigrants.

To demonstrate the severity of the border crisis, Republican governors like Mr. Abbott have sent buses full of asylum seekers to Democratic-controlled states and sanctuary cities. Republicans say the measure is needed to show the rest of the country how border states are responding to the surge in migrants.

Some Democratic leaders have warned about busing migrants from border states to Democratic areas such as New York City and Chicago. immigration crisis has overwhelmed governments, and Biden says they are failing to take appropriate action to stem the tide.

MSNBC host Al Sharpton spoke to Mr. Johnson on Sunday about the immigration crisis, noting that it will take a “tremendous toll” as the situation progresses. “Governor Abbott is absolutely right about his intentions,” Johnson said. “He's attacking cities that are democratically run, especially cities that are led by black leaders and leaders of color. John R. Lott, director of the Crime Prevention Research Center, reused the mayor's statement to question Biden's border controls.

“If Abbott is busing illegal aliens to Chicago and New York, and he is ‘attacking’ those cities, then Biden is sending illegal aliens into Texas on an even bigger scale. What do you call it?” he asked.
