Media coverage of Charlie Kirk's memorial exceeds 22 million views

Reports suggest that Charlie Kirk’s monument has generated over 22 million views across cable news, YouTube, and various social media platforms.

Nielsen’s updated figures, released late Tuesday, indicate a 10% increase in online views within just two days.

Presently, 5.9 million viewers were noted as tuning in for the five-hour additional service, which included speeches by President Trump and Vice President JD Vance, according to Nielsen Media Research.

In Glendale, Arizona, the venue was maximized as more than 200,000 individuals came to pay tribute to Kirk.

Fox News led all cable news channels, drawing in 5.2 million viewers during Kirk’s re-service ceremony this past Sunday.

During the highlight of the event, Erica Kirk’s emotional speech where she forgave her husband’s murderer, Fox News peaked at 6.6 million viewers, with over a million of them falling into the key demographic of 25 to 54-year-olds.

Nielsen also indicated that Fox News captured 89% of the cable news audience with its special coverage of the service.

Fox Corp., the parent company of Fox News, shares ownership with News Corp., which owns the post.

When looking at CNN, it managed to attract just 372,000 viewers during its coverage of the event, with only 46,000 in the crucial 25 to 54 demographic.

Meanwhile, MSNBC, which is set to be rebranded as MS after its split from NBCUniversal, garnered a mere 260,000 viewers during the service’s coverage.

Livestreams from YouTube related to the service have racked up over 12.5 million views across various accounts, including those of Fox News, The Associated Press, USA Today, NBC, Reuters, The Washington Post, and Blaze TV.

Kirk’s official YouTube account recorded 7.8 million views for its livestream, while Fox News had 2.6 million views and The Associated Press garnered 1.3 million views.

Additionally, the local FOX News station’s livestream on YouTube attracted more than 1.6 million views.

Erica Kirk’s speech from the monument has garnered 2.5 million views on the ABC News YouTube channel.

Lastly, a video of her speech on Turning Point USA’s X account has reached 1.7 million views.
