Fox News Media to Present National Christmas Tree Lighting
Fox News Media is gearing up for its sixth annual “National Christmas Tree Lighting,” set to air during a special episode of “The Five” on Friday.
Co-hosted by Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, Jessica Tarloff, Jesse Watters, and guest co-host Lawrence Jones, the event will take place in front of the network’s headquarters in New York City. Grammy Award-winning contemporary Christian artist Chris Tomlin is scheduled to perform at the ceremony, joined by a choir.
The centerpiece, a 50-foot All-American Christmas tree, will be adorned with 18,000 ornaments and 340,000 warm white, true white, and red lights. Topped with a 6-foot tall dove, the tree will showcase 4,800 lights crafted by American Christmas, a company located in Mount Vernon, New York.
Live coverage will be hosted by “Outnumbered” co-host Emily Compagno and Fox News’ Jimmy Failla on digital platforms, offering a dynamic two-screen experience. Compagno will serve as the social media correspondent, providing behind-the-scenes insights and interviews, while Failla adds a humorous touch with short segments throughout the show.
During the event, the co-hosts of “The Five” will share their favorite holiday memories and traditions, creating a more personal connection for viewers.
Additionally, Fox News Chief Religion Correspondent Lauren Green will introduce Cardinal Timothy Dolan and Rev. Franklin Graham, who will discuss the significance of the holiday season. Rabbi Kalman Samuels is also expected to share an inspiring message of hope during the special.
This year, Fox News Media has teamed up with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, aiming to distribute gifts to children in need. They are also collaborating with Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child to pack shoeboxes filled with toys and essentials for children worldwide.
