Media Will Change Coverage and That’ll Help Biden Win

On HBO’s “Real Time” broadcast Friday, former Attorney General Eric Holder commented on President Joe Biden’s polling numbers: It’s going to be Trump. I think if you play against someone who has actually accomplished a lot, you’ll do well. ”

Host Bill Maher asked, “What do you make of the fact that every poll I’ve read shows that the Democratic Party is losing support?” If you look at non-white working-class voters, they’ve changed by 61 percentage points in the 12 years since 2012, which is an incredible number. I think President Obama won by 67 points in 2012, that demographic. Biden won by 48 points, but the margin is now only 6 points. what’s happening there?

Mr Holder replied: “First of all, I think we’re comparing March to November. We’re looking at how people are now, but probably by the time we get to November workers of all races… I think we’re seeing a movement of people in the ranks toward Biden, and we’re also comparing a very, incredibly popular African American who was running for the first time and really excited people from all walks of life. So in some ways I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. But I think we shouldn’t be too alarmed about the March polls and need to take them into account. But March is more important than October or It’s a fundamentally different month than November, and we’ll see how these things play out when we get to that time of the calendar year.”

Mr Holder continued: “There is work to be done, but if we remain dedicated and focused and the media makes a binary choice between people of a certain age and with cognitive issues. If people start paying attention to this, I’m actually optimistic.” It’s going to be Trump. I think if you play against someone who has actually accomplished a lot, you’ll do well. And what you said in your monologue was really good, but Trump’s approval ratings are higher now than they were when he was president. It’s like, “Hey, America, remember?” …People say they are better off now than they were four years ago. That’s exactly right. So let’s not lose sight of the chaos, the corruption, and all the negative things that Donald Trump intended, and let’s put a good man back in the White House. ”
