Medical Analyst at Fox News ‘Deeply Worried’ After Learning About Joe Biden’s ‘Very Advanced’ Cancer

Biden’s Cancer Diagnosis Raises Concerns

On Sunday, Dr. Mark Siegel, a senior medical analyst, expressed his surprise regarding former President Joe Biden’s advanced prostate cancer diagnosis during the “Fox Report.” The diagnosis, revealed on Friday, indicated that the cancer had spread to Biden’s bones, and Siegel shared his deep concerns about the situation after a statement was read to him by host John Scott.

The severity of Biden’s cancer is quantified by the Gleason score, which reflects the aggressiveness of the disease based on biopsy results. According to his office’s announcement, Biden’s score was nine out of ten. “A Gleason score of nine indicates a very aggressive form of cancer,” Siegel explained. “He’s experiencing urinary symptoms, and most prostate cancer cases are asymptomatic. So, his symptoms suggest a significant progression.”

Typically, prostate cancer that metastasizes to bone is classified as stage 4B, with a survival rate around 37% after five years, according to the Mayo Clinic. Siegel also noted his surprise that this condition went undetected in the 2024 Period State Specific Antigen (PSA) test—which is a standard method for detecting prostate cancer.

“It’s a common question. Why wasn’t the PSA test indicative last year?” Siegel remarked. “This was likely identified through physical exams. Normally, we chase an elevated PSA with MRIs, so he must have had excellent care.”

“This is the former president. He deserves the best medical attention,” Scott added. “Yet, somehow, this prostate cancer has progressed significantly since he took office.” Siegel went on to discuss the implications of low PSA scores in men over 45 and mentioned that hormone therapy might be an option for Biden, potentially lowering testosterone levels that could fuel cancer growth.

Dr. Herbert Lepore, a urologist, mentioned that advancements in treatment could help men live with metastatic prostate cancer for an extended period. Dr. Chris George from the Cancer Program at Northwestern Medical Network affirmed that while the cancer may be incurable, treatment strategies can still effectively manage the disease.

Biden’s health history includes earlier treatments for a cerebral aneurysm and a pulmonary embolism, suggesting a history of serious medical challenges.
