Meghan Markle Reflects on Early Romance with Prince Harry
In the latest season of her Netflix series “With Love, Meghan,” Meghan Markle opened up about the early stages of her relationship with Prince Harry, revealing some personal moments. The show premiered early Tuesday morning, sharing insights into their romance.
During the third episode, Markle, who is 44, spoke with celebrity guest Tan France about her family life and her two children, Archie and Lilibet. A key moment came when France asked her who first expressed love between her and Harry. To her surprise, she noted that it was Harry who initially said “I love you.”
Markle recounted her realization of love during a memorable trip to Botswana in 2016. “That was actually our third date,” she shared, when France inquired about any specific moment that made her feel love. They spent a week camping together, and she reminisced about how such close quarters really foster intimacy.
“We met in Botswana and camped together for five days,” she explained, sharing some amusing thoughts on the risks involved. “It’s an elephant. Will we be safe? Yeah, you’re safe. Ok,” she laughed.
France pressed her for more detail about who first uttered the phrase associated with love, and Markle confirmed, “He told me,” laughing at the memory. The conversation took a lighthearted turn when France teased her about blushing and decided to change the topic.
Markle also provided a sneak peek into her family celebrations, particularly focusing on Prince Harry’s 40th birthday bash that took place in September 2024. The couple, who have distanced themselves from royal life, celebrated the occasion at a charity tennis event in memory of Kelly McKee Seifen’s late son, George.
To commemorate the day, Markle crafted baseball caps with “Ph40” as a playful gesture to bring smiles to those attending.
Season 2 of “With Love, Meghan” is available for streaming now on Netflix.
