Duchess Meghan has won a defamation lawsuit brought by her half-sister after a court threw out the lawsuit, according to a new report.

In an updated ruling released Tuesday, U.S. District Judge Charlene Edwards-Honeywell found that Samantha “failed to identify any statements that might support a claim of defamation or implied defamation.” As a result, he ordered the case never to go to court. The Mirror reported.
Honeywell noted that this is the third time Samantha has attempted to amend her complaint, which seeks $75,000 in damages against her brother.
Samantha, 59, was defamed by Meghan, 42, after she told Oprah in a bombshell interview in 2021 that she “grew up as an only child” and didn’t have much of a relationship with her half-siblings. It is claimed that

Samantha also accused the Duchess of “destroying her father’s reputation and credibility in order to maintain and promote a false ‘rags to royalty’ narrative” in her biography, Finding Freedom. He claimed that he defamed her by revealing information about her.
Samantha’s attorney could not immediately be reached for comment. It is unclear whether Markle’s sister will appeal.
The Duchess of Sussex has not yet commented on the court’s decision.
Samantha’s lawsuit was dropped in March 2022 after Honeywell ruled that Meghan’s statements were opinions and “could not be proven to be false.”
The judge gave Samantha’s team another chance to amend the complaint, but this third attempt was dismissed with prejudice, meaning Samantha would not be able to argue her case in court again.
