Meghan Markle’s return to Instagram includes her go-to fashion brands

Meghan Markle is back on Instagram after a five-year hiatus.

of The Duchess of Sussex, 43, started the new year with the first post on her new solo account @meghan.

Markle chose for her social media debut: her own videoHer husband Prince Harry, 40, was photographed with their two children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3, on the beach near the royal couple's home in Montecito, California. .

The video, posted on Jan. 1, begins with her running along the water with her back to the camera, writing “2025” in the sand.

Finally, she quickly turned to face the camera, wearing her signature uniform of a flowing white button-down and matching straight-leg jeans.

Her new profile photo, taken by her friend Jake Rosenberg, also shows Markle wearing two of her go-to brands.

The “Suits” alum is all smiles in the black-and-white photo, wearing a sexy white maxi dress ($980 ($490) Layered with a lace bra by Khaite.

She paired the elegant number with her beloved diamond tennis necklace ($13,795) From Logan Hollowell.

Markle has sported the luxurious item at various royal events, most recently at the Paley Honors Fall Gala last month.

She also wore accessories in different shapes at the Invictus Games in February and the One Year to Go dinner at the Women in Leadership event in May.

She wore her long brown hair tied in a middle bun and appeared to have opted for minimal makeup.

Markle secured her Instagram handle in 2023, so her first post was highly anticipated.

The previous year, Markle told The Cut She was considering returning to social media after deactivating her account due to online bullying.

“Do you want to know a secret?” she told the New York Magazine offshoot. “I'm going back to Instagram.”

The Duchess of Sussex and her husband previously shared a joint account @sussexroyal, run by Buckingham Palace officials, but stopped using it in 2020.

Markle is set to have a big year ahead of her in early 2025, when she plans to launch a Netflix show about “cooking, gardening and entertaining.”

Additionally, the royal family is expected to (finally) launch a lifestyle brand called American Riviera Orchard.

The label, which focuses on home, garden, food and general lifestyle products, debuted its first product in April: jars of fresh jam.

Markle's new Instagram account is just the beginning.
