Megyn Kelly Critiques Lindsey Graham’s War Rhetoric
SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly expressed concern over South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham’s push for military action against Iran during an interview with Tucker Carlson on “The Tucker Carlson Show.” She took issue with Graham’s recent warnings to Iran’s leadership, suggesting that such aggressive rhetoric could escalate tensions.
On Fox News’ “Hannity,” Graham indicated that President Trump would respond forcefully to Iran’s actions against protesters if they continued. He seemed adamant about the need for a change in Iran’s government. Kelly, however, urged him to reconsider his comments, pointing out that he doesn’t have children who might face the consequences of a war with Iran.
“What Lindsey Graham represents is quite troubling to me. Telling the Ayatollahs that our president is coming to kill them? It’s a bit much,” Kelly noted. “I have kids, and I know others do too. We don’t want this.”
Graham also conveyed support for the Iranian people, calling for an uprising against their rulers, whom he referred to as “religious Nazis.” He projected that significant change was imminent in Iran, asserting that aid for Iranians was forthcoming.
In another appearance on Fox News, he sported a “Make Iran Great Again” hat while promoting U.S. intervention. This rhetoric comes amid ongoing protests in Iran, where over 36 individuals have reportedly been killed, and more than 2,000 have been arrested as demonstrations erupt across the country.
These protests mark the largest since 2022, with unrest spreading to numerous provinces. The protests have been fueled by economic hardship, particularly following the collapse of the rial currency, and broader dissatisfaction with the Islamic regime.
In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump warned that should Iran respond violently to protesters, the U.S. stands ready to intervene.
