Melania Trump, the First Lady, revealed the Christmas decorations for this year at the White House on Monday. Many believe that under President Trump’s administration, there’s a return to a more elegant Christmas style.
This year’s theme, “Home Is Where the Heart Is,” was shared on social media, and she referred to it as “An American Christmas.”
“This Christmas, let’s celebrate the love within ourselves and share it with those around us. No matter our location, we can create a home filled with endless possibilities,” she said, accompanying her message with a video that highlighted the decorations. These included a Red Room themed around “Nurturing the Future,” an East Room celebrating the upcoming 250th anniversary of America, and a Green Room focusing on “Family Fun.”
This year’s decorations are said to feature over 25,000 feet of ribbon, more than 2,000 lights, and 51 trees.
“A fantastic upgrade from the last four years,” remarked one user on X.
“I’ve been eager to see this since 2020. Just stunning, Melania! Thank you for bringing elegance to the White House,” another commented, reflecting the sentiments shared by many.
The decor this year has sparked comparisons to the more whimsical circus theme seen during President Biden’s 2023 holiday decorations.
“The talented dancers at Dorrance Dance bring a bit of magic and joy through their interpretation of the Nutcracker Suite. Enjoy!” former First Lady Jill Biden noted previously, sharing a video that showcased extravagant dancing and costumes in the White House.

John Nolte from Breitbart News remarked:
Everything in that video is disappointing, including the spending of our tax dollars. There might be a claim of a White House Holiday Fund for donors, but honestly, the performance wasn’t in the spirit of the season. It felt more about self-promotion.
…
Dorrance Dance’s site provides resources for understanding topics like white privilege and systemic racism, which could be quite enlightening for those new to these discussions.
It also points to celebrated “anti-racism” literature, though it’s worth questioning whether many of those would be recognized without some systemic support.
Interestingly, last year’s holiday message from Jill Biden came just after her husband announced a pardon for his son, Hunter.
