Melania Trump Hosts Global Future Together Summit
First Lady Melania Trump kicked off the two-day Global Future Together Summit by urging representatives from over 40 countries to enhance access to education and technology for children worldwide.
This summit marked the launch of the “Growing Our Future Together” initiative that she introduced at the United Nations General Assembly last year.
“As humans, we dream. As leaders, we progress. As nations, we build,” she reflected in her book. “Starting today with our new global alliance, let us accelerate this bond and positively impact the progress of children.”
President Trump noted the summit’s unprecedented turnout.
“Nowhere else do we bring together such great talent, from AI pioneers like OpenAI, Palantir, and xAI, to technology platforms like Google and Meta, and creative engines like Adobe and Microsoft,” she emphasized. “There is extraordinary human capital in this room,” she added, encouraging leaders to use their resources to “uplift” children and “accelerate” the economy.
Participants included notable figures like Olena Zelenska, wife of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, and Sara Netanyahu, spouse of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump urged attendees to create regional networks, conduct research, and form partnerships to equip young people with essential skills in a swiftly changing world.
She stressed the need for setting aside political differences to achieve shared goals, advocating for concrete solutions to give TechEd opportunities to youth globally.
“Our shared vision puts children above political philosophy, geographic borders, and local prejudice,” Trump asserted.
The White House highlighted that this summit is a historic occasion, as it is the first time a first lady has hosted representatives from 45 countries simultaneously in the Oval Office, along with delegates from 28 tech companies.
“The Growing Our Future Together model further supports First Lady Melania Trump’s action-oriented diplomacy on the world stage,” the White House stated. They added that this initiative represents a long-term commitment involving member states from various continents, including the United States, France, and Nigeria.
Trump called on world leaders to invest in education and technology, urging them to expand opportunities for younger generations and to view this summit as a catalyst for lasting progress.
