Melania Trump is Epitome of American Luxury in Adam Lippes Coat, Eric Javits Hat

First lady Melania Trump epitomized American luxury when she arrived at her husband's inauguration on Monday wearing a double-breasted wool coat and boater hat.

Perfectly styled by loyal fashion friend Hervé Pierre, Melania Trump began her career at Ralph Lauren, then served as global creative director for Oscar de la Renta, before launching her own luxury womenswear line. She wore a custom-made navy coat by American designer Adam Lipps.

“The inauguration tradition embodies the beauty of American democracy, and today we had the honor of dressing First Lady Melania Trump,” Lippes said in a statement. “Mrs. Trump's costume was created by some of America's finest craftsmen, and I take great pride in presenting such work to the world.”

Mrs. Trump paired her Lippes coat with a navy boater hat, which featured an ivory ribbon that matched the ivory collar of her dress, which was created by American milliner Eric Javits.

Other accessories she wore for the occasion were black leather gloves to keep warm and suede Manolo Blahnik stiletto heels, a favorite of Mrs. Trump.

Meanwhile, second lady Usha Vance made her official public appearance wearing a bubblegum pink coat. It's a soft, girly outfit that's perfect for this occasion. For accessories, Mrs. Vance wore ivory suede gloves, flower earrings, and Manolo Blahnik suede boots.

From what I can see, the designer of the coat is unknown, but Mrs. Vance seems to like designs by Oscar de la Renta and Sergio Hudson.
