Melania Trump Takes Legal Action Against Hunter Biden
Melania Trump has reportedly issued a significant legal notice to Hunter Biden, claiming he made a “false, inflammatory statement” about her.
According to reports, her attorney has asked Biden to retract his statement, or he could face legal consequences. They’ve also requested a public apology.
A letter from her lawyer, Alejandro Burrito, was allegedly sent to Biden’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, on August 6. This correspondence was related to comments Biden made during an interview on Channel 5 with Andrew Callahan, where he stated that convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein had introduced Trump to Donald Trump.
The letter from Burrito mentioned, “I will soon retract the false, slanderous, generally inflammatory statement made about Mrs. Trump.”
Burrito also warned that if Biden does not comply, Melania will have no choice but to seek legal remedies for the “overwhelming financial and reputational harm” she has allegedly suffered.
According to Burrito, this “false, slanderous statement” has been widely shared across various media platforms, significantly damaging Melania Trump’s reputation.
“These deceptive assertions have circulated across numerous digital platforms, impacting millions,” Burrito wrote. He noted that the video featuring Biden’s claims was shared by multiple media outlets and commentators with large followings.
Burrito pointed out that Hunter Biden’s source appears to be Michael Wolf, known for fabricating stories, in a piece from the Daily Beast titled “Melania Trump is highly involved in the Epstein scandal.”
He noted that the Daily Beast had issued an apology and retracted the statement after receiving a demand letter from Melania’s legal team. Despite this, Burrito accused Biden of unfairly relying on these statements.
“The timing of the video is telling and underscores the maliciousness behind its publication, especially given the statement’s obvious inaccuracy,” Burrito said. He suggested that Biden’s history of using others’ names for personal benefit indicates a motive to seek attention through false claims about Mrs. Trump.
Burrito has requested Biden to fully retract his comments and apologize by August 7. Sources indicated Biden has not met that deadline, and reports suggest he may have shared the letter from Burrito with “friendly reporters.”
In addition to the Daily Beast’s retraction, Democratic strategist James Carville also acknowledged the issue, mentioning a conversation he had on a recent podcast where Melania’s lawyer raised concerns about certain statements made during the episode.
