Former first lady Melania Trump sparked a backlash after expressing support for abortion in a memoir scheduled to be released before Election Day. Trump's book melaniais set to be released on October 8 and details her upbringing in Slovenia, her modeling days in New York, and her marriage to former President Donald Trump. In an excerpt from a book published by guardianPresident Trump has said it is “essential” that women have “autonomy” in deciding whether to have children, an argument often used in defense of abortion.
“Why should anyone other than women themselves have the power to decide what to do with their bodies? Women have the fundamental right to personal freedom over their lives and the right to terminate a pregnancy if they wish. “I am authorized to do so,” President Trump said.
“Restricting a woman's right to choose whether to terminate an unwanted pregnancy is the same as denying a woman control over her own body. I have held this belief throughout my adult life. I continued.”
President Trump explained that his views on abortion are based on “a set of core principles,” including “individual liberty” and “individual liberty.”
“This is a very simple concept; in fact, we are all born with a set of fundamental rights, including the right to enjoy life,” she wrote. “We all have the right to a fulfilling and dignified existence. This common sense approach applies to women's natural right to make decisions about their bodies and health.”
According to christian postTrump's comments drew backlash from Christian and pro-life leaders.
Wednesday, pro-life writer Jonathan Van Maren warned The Republican Party will continue to evolve into a pro-abortion party as long as the Trump family remains in power.
“RNC co-chair Lara Trump has the right of way,” Van Maren said. “Eric has always been pro-choice, even though his father Donald has kept his deal with the pro-life movement.” Van Maren wrote,
.@MelaniaTrump has declared in her new memoir, scheduled to be published a month before Election Day, that she supports abortion in all circumstances, including late-term abortions. She advocates for abortion to be normalized and for America to work to remove the “stigma” from abortion.

Kristan Hawkins, President of Students for Life of America and Students for Life Action; claimed The former first lady said she would not buy her memoir because she missed the opportunity to be a role model for women.
“Melania Trump's support for abortion is anti-feminist and clearly departs from the teachings of our Catholic faith. She is wrong,” pro-life leader says. I wrote. “Abortion ends innocent lives and is antithetical to empowerment. Women are told they cannot balance the gift of children with a career, so they have to choose one or the other. .”
“Christ helps us thrive at home, at school, at work, as mothers, and as role models,” she continued.

Abortion ends innocent lives and is antithetical to empowerment, as women are said to be unable to balance their careers with the gift of bearing children, and must choose between the two. yeah.

in response In response to a video that President Trump shared online Thursday highlighting his stance on abortion, Christian podcaster Allie Beth Stuckey said that President Trump's views on abortion are no better than his vice president and Democratic presidential candidate on the issue. He claimed that the position was “indistinguishable” from that of Kamala Harris.
“I know Team Trump thinks they're trying to implicate pro-abortion female leaders on this issue, but they couldn't be more wrong,” Stuckey wrote.
Her “uncompromising” stance on a woman's “freedom” to abort a child is indistinguishable from Kamala Harris' position. I know Team Trump thinks they're trying to implicate their pro-abortion female bosses on this, but they couldn't be more wrong. https://t.co/2jnop2d1O6

Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life advocacy group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, argued: post X said President Trump's comments were “completely incorrect.” In the same post, she stressed that the organization's “number one priority” was to ensure Harris “defeated” in the 2024 election.
American women have great strength and creativity. They have a natural tendency to speak for the powerless.
Abortion is not their source of freedom and liberation.
