A synagogue in Melbourne, Australia, was set on fire on Friday in what authorities believe was a “deliberate” arson.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese issued a statement condemning the synagogue attack.
“I have no tolerance for anti-Semitism. There is absolutely no place for anti-Semitism in Australia,” Ms Albanese wrote. “Violence, intimidation, and destruction at places of worship are reprehensible acts… Those involved must be arrested and face the full force of the law.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also issued a statement condemning the “abhorrent act of anti-Semitism.”
