This year’s theme:

The 2025 theme, “Tailored for You,” aims to explore the essence of black style. This spring exhibition at the museum looks into the historical significance of black fashion and dandyism.

Notably, this is the first Met Gala to spotlight exclusively black designers and marks the first menswear theme since 2003.

Guests arriving at the gala will be greeted by the exhibition “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” which promotes the menswear focus of this year’s theme, designed to inspire creativity and diverse interpretations.

According to Vogue, this year’s theme delves into the tailoring of garments that shape black identity, emphasizing the rise, significance, and influence of black dandies.

Approximately 450 guests, including emerging stars, young creatives, and notable figures from various fields such as fashion, arts, sports, and politics, are expected to attend the event on Monday evening.
