Harvard Physicist Discusses Pentagon UFO Files on Recent Sphere Sightings
Avi Loeb, a theoretical physicist from Harvard, has recently commented on newly disclosed UFO files from the Pentagon. He pointed out that law enforcement observed intriguing sightings of what’s being called the “Mother Orb” in 2023. Alarmingly, he mentioned that around 40% of these sightings remain unexplained, which he believes poses serious national security issues due to the potential presence of hostile technology or even alien origins. He described this scenario as possibly being “the greatest discovery in human history.”
Rare Meteorite Found in New Jersey Home
A fascinating meteorite that crashed into a house in New Jersey two years ago contains essential components potentially linked to the origins of life. This meteorite, which landed in Hillsboro on July 16, 2024, has been the subject of a recent study published in *Science Advances* just before its second anniversary on Earth.
According to reports, when the meteor struck, the homeowner experienced a “loud crash” and discovered a gaping hole in the ceiling, a situation that left parts of their bedroom—specifically the bed and carpet—covered in debris. Interestingly, it was noted by the SETI Institute that there was a strong sulfur-like smell in the area.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, though there was property damage.
Meteor’s Characteristics and Significance
The meteorite fragmented into numerous pieces, leaving behind a strong sulfur scent in the air. Researchers classified it as a rare type of carbonaceous chondrite known as an intermediate CM1/2, with only two other meteorites of this subtype having been observed falling before.
Mike Hankey, Operations Manager for the American Meteor Society, detailed how cameras in various locations captured the meteor’s journey, allowing scientists to trace its path back to the asteroid belt.
NASA noted that the meteorite contains some of the oldest materials in our solar system, as it holds records of chemical processes that date back over 4.5 billion years. The potential implications for science are tremendous. It may assist in uncovering new insights about ancient water, the chemical evolution of primordial asteroids, and even the components that could have played a role in the emergence of life in the early solar system.
Scientific Collaboration and Findings
Upon collecting the debris with gloves and preserving it in a glass container lined with aluminum foil, an amateur astronomer recognized its significance. According to scientists, the Hillsboro meteorite has proven to be a valuable resource for ongoing research.
A surprising finding was the complexity of the amino acids and organic compounds present in the meteorite. Danny Glavin, a senior scientist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, shared that this discovery adds to the argument suggesting that life’s building blocks could have been delivered to Earth via debris from carbonaceous asteroids.
Peter Jenniskens, a meteor astronomer at NASA Ames Research Center, emphasized that the team’s work on the meteorite’s trajectory and composition is crucial for advancing our understanding of proto-asteroids.
This study provides one of the clearest depictions yet of how primitive asteroids have chemically evolved over billions of years, offering insights that could reshape our understanding of the origins of life. Jenniskens noted that bringing the meteorite into the discussion adds a layered understanding of where it originated in the asteroid belt.
