Mets fan removed from $1 hot dog night after fans throw wieners at him

Apparently this fan took a little too much hot dogging.

An enthusiastic Mets fan was removed from his field-level seat during Tuesday’s $1 hot dog night, apparently after fans started throwing hot dogs at him.

“😂😂 So this guy was just into $1 dog nights. Totally accepted.” Fan account @The7Line posted Wednesday morning on X. “Here’s the story…In the 9th inning, everyone started throwing extra dogs at him. The cops had to throw him to get everyone else to stop. Because he was having a good time. That doesn’t mean he was kicked out, it seems like he left without any problems.”

1 fan posted a photo of the fan in question On the train after the game, he wore a hot dog hat, a shirt that said “Bad Day to Be Grizzy” in blue letters, ate a hot dog, and had a beer. I had a running tab that I drank. Beal appears to have a 10-9 advantage.

LGM is written on the hem of the shirt.

“We went back to the city with this legend and heard all the stories. He and his girlfriend came from Westchester to have some fun.” Posted by X user @bbcush After the Mets beat the Cubs 4-2. “The welder, the blue-collar guy, just wants to drink beer and eat grizzly bears.”

There’s always some kind of shenanigans going on when teams have special nights, and the Mets invited it on Tuesday by offering $1 hot dogs.

The Mets promotion said: Fans were limited to four per transaction.

This fan had clearly grown to four or more at some point during the night. Fans started throwing hot dogs at the man.sat at field level on the first base side.

The fan stood up and waved at the fans, seemingly encouraging them to keep throwing more hot dogs, before placing a hot dog hat on his head and then donning another hot dog hat.

But all good things must come to an end.

A fan posted a video at 9:41 p.m. ET showing police officers and Citi Field security walking toward the fans. escort him out of his seat.

Fans began shouting “feed him” and “booing” his dismissal, while he clapped with some fans and encouraged them by waving.

Combined with the Mets’ win, it seems like fans definitely enjoyed a night of promotions.

“You can’t sell a hot dog for a dollar. [Steve] Gelbs wore a hot dog costume, plastered Seymour Weiner all over his branding in a fun way, and installed a live counter on the scoreboard showing hot dog sales…and at least a few fans went a little overboard. I don’t expect that. ” 7 Line’s account was posted in a follow-up on Monday.. “😂 It seemed like a huge success. Hopefully it will be an annual thing.”

The Phillies canceled $1 hot dog night and replaced it with buy-one-get-one-free hot dog night this year after a large group of fans threw hot dogs at each other during last year’s promotion.
