Mets’ looming talks with Francisco Alvarex have luxury tax problems

The Mets are expected to discuss a long-term contract with Francisco Alvarez and his agent Bad Bunny at some point.

Hosmer earned $175 million in 17 career WAR ($10 million/1 WAR), but WAR has yet to find a way to value a defenseman at 1B. …

Jackie Bradley Jr. is in training and currently trying to find a job.

Stephen Strasburg will retire as per his doctor’s advice, and he will only get hurt if he tries to pitch. But the Nationals would need to release him from his contract first.
