Video reports from Mexico show government immigration agents rounding up large groups of migrants near Juarez. Mexican immigration authorities are reportedly sending migrants back to the country’s southern tip.
A video report posted on X shows dozens of Mexican immigration enforcement vehicles carrying migrants arrested in Juarez approaching the border with El Paso, Texas. Migrants are reportedly being deported to southern Mexico and other interior parts of the country.

Todd Bensman, a fellow at the Immigration Center, reports that the move by Mexican immigration officials is part of a Biden-Obrador campaign strategy aimed at distracting from the severity of the border crisis in Texas. .

Breitbart Texas reported last week that Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador is trying to “force” the U.S. government to provide $20 billion in aid to Central American and Caribbean countries. The president also called on the Biden administration to lift sanctions on Venezuela and lift the embargo on Cuba.
This is what the mysterious diplomatic agreement between Biden and López Obrador looked like on the ground in Juarez. They are chasing immigrants and deporting them to the Deep South. I published a story about this arrangement in January. It still happens, but so do intersections. Still confused? pic.twitter.com/zBp39UfOgp

In February, Breitbart’s Randy Clark wrote about the impact of the 2024 presidential elections in Mexico and the United States, and how the political maneuvering by the two incumbent presidents will affect border policy for years to come. I wrote about the possibility.
This street taco shop in Vila Ahumuda, two hours south of Juarez/El Paso, is the place where Mexico’s immigration crackdown began three days ago, cleaning up the town and sending migrants far away in the desert until the heat subsides. Benzman interviews street taco sellers in Mexico and says efforts in Mexico are on hold as migrants seek refuge in “hidden deserts” to wait out roundups in Juarez. He said that it may only be a temporary relief.
It remains to be seen how this will affect the El Paso Border Patrol’s immigration concerns. The El Paso area reported apprehending about 30,000 immigrants in March, up from 24,000 apprehended in February, according to unofficial documents reviewed by Breitbart Texas. .
