Mexico’s president announces deal with Trump to pause tariffs for a month

Mexico, President Mexico, claimed on Monday that he had signed a contract with President Trump to suspend a 25 % tariff in one month in exchange for a border concession.

Sheinbaum said that Mexico agreed to strengthen the border between 10,000 staff from the Mexican National Security Corps and the US Mexican border, and to help crack down on Fentanil. Both Shainbaum and Trump made a phone call on Monday morning.

After that, the United States will cooperate with Mexico to prevent the trafficking of weapons in the Southern American.

“We had a great respect for our relationship and sovereignty and had a good conversation with President Trump. Symbaum stated in a statement in each translation.

Trump ordered a 25 % ferry tariff in Mexico after accusing his southern neighbor not responding to his demands of fentanyl and illegal immigrants.
