Mica Miller’s pastor husband claims he tried to ‘raise her from the dead’ in emotional eulogy

A South Carolina pastor whose wife shot herself last month said in his eulogy that he visited her body on four separate occasions and even tried to “bring her back from the dead.”

Micah Miller, 30, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head in North Carolina’s Lumber River State Park on April 27 after being heard crying for several minutes. .

Her death was casually announced by her husband, John Paul Miller, 44, during a sermon to the congregation at Solid Rock Church in Myrtle Beach.

He told mourners at a memorial service at Solid Rock Ministries in Myrtle Beach.

Miller said he visited a shopping mall later that day and noticed a woman there who looked like his deceased wife.

Miller said she couldn’t hold back and yelled “Micah” before realizing it was one of her sisters.

“I thought I brought her back from the dead…I can’t wait to see her again someday,” he said, breaking down in tears.

The pastor said that although many people noticed Micah’s beauty, “only a spouse knows how beautiful a person is on the inside.”

“If I had 10 hours, I wouldn’t have enough time to tell you all the great things about her,” he added.

According to court documents, Miller died two days after her husband served her with divorce papers.

She also claimed to relatives and other church members that her partner had abused her, according to her sister’s affidavit.
