Michael Beasley Claims Victory Over Lance Stevenson
Michael Beasley quickly shared the news after defeating Lance Stevenson in a one-on-one contest for $100,000. The matchup was the highlight of the TNC 02 Pay-per-View Basketball event in Miami on Friday night, regarded as one of the best one-on-one games yet.
Beasley won with a score of 31-21, pocketing a substantial check, which had the attention of injured Mavericks guard Kyrie Irving. After the match, Stevenson, who is 34, enthusiastically posted an Instagram story, calling it “The Great Game Bro.”
Things took an unexpected turn when Beasley, a former teammate of both Stevenson and a notable player for the Knicks in 2017-18, replied. He made a cryptic reference to the Kardashians in his response, saying, “I love you to the moon and back… I’ll grab a cigarette and a towel now… We want Kim K vy.”
The game had everything—excitement, tension, and commentary from Irving, who remarked, “I never want to play Beasley one-on-one” after a brisk 4-0 lead began the match.
Although Stevenson had the crowd behind him, it wasn’t enough to tip the scales in his favor. Beasley, despite his promising start as a second overall pick in 2008 by the Heat, hasn’t quite met those initial expectations after spending 11 seasons in the NBA.
He did show off his scoring prowess during the matchup. Throughout his career, Beasley averaged 12.4 points per game, better than Stevenson’s average of 8.6 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
Stevenson, a product of Coney Island, played a total of 10 NBA seasons and was known for his defense, having been drafted 40th overall in 2010. The match highlighted the skills and competition that both players bring to the court.
