Michelle Beadle Hints at Possible Travel Show After Croatian Getaway
Michelle Beadle might have dropped a hint about her own travel show following her vacation in Croatia.
The 49-year-old sports broadcaster, recently let go from SiriusXM, posted a clip on social media showcasing her Sunday trip, giving followers a glimpse of her experiences.
“My Croatian dump is here,” she captioned her Instagram post. “I think we really should come up with a better term. Until next time… or maybe I’ll land a damn travel show…”
Beadle and her co-host Cody Decker, known for their “Beadle and Decker” radio show, parted ways with SiriusXM in June.
When the news broke about her replacement by a former ESPN colleague, Beadle expressed feelings of being “blinded” by the decision, especially as the new host wasn’t particularly fond of her.
“Welcome to ‘Who knew Ramedak and Who knew.’” Decker was noted as having been “dismissed” during their show, according to Beadle.
“All I ask is to be treated with respect… here we are going to do a show,” she added.
In a conversation with Front Office Sports, Beadle reiterated her thoughts, taking a jab at Stephen A. Smith, who has been a persistent figure in her career.
“It’s a reminder. We’re all just fragments. If you forget, it’s there,” Beadle remarked, referring to past interactions with Smith. She seemed to reflect on the ups and downs of the industry. “I was like, ‘I should’ve known.’ It doesn’t bother us what we’re doing all the time.”
Beadle, who left ESPN in 2019, admitted to a long-standing conflict with Smith, stemming from his controversial comments regarding domestic violence made after the Ray Rice incident.
“I don’t respect him. I don’t respect his work. He doesn’t like me. This goes back to Ray Rice’s comments. I replied, and he was silenced for about two weeks. I think it marked the beginning of the end for us,” she said candidly.
Beadle continued, “I think he’s always wrong. It’s not just opinions; they’re never wrong. But in reality, when you’re so thin-skinned, it’s hard to be right. I’m not a fan.”
Currently, Beadle hosts “Run It Back” on Fanduel TV alongside former NBA players Chandler Parsons and Lou Williams. She also co-hosts a podcast called “Over the Top” with Peter Rosenberg.
Additionally, she contributes to some San Antonio Spurs broadcasts.
Stephen A. Smith’s new show on SiriusXM is set to debut on September 2.
