Michelle Obama has become noticeably slimmer, but many online aren’t fully convinced.
This past weekend, the former first lady faced claims of using weight loss medications after she posted behind-the-scenes footage from a photoshoot with renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz on Instagram.
President Obama shared the moment, reflecting on Leibovitz’s ability to convey deeper meanings through her photography, while commenting on Michelle’s seemingly more slender figure. He mentioned how her work has transformed perceptions of women.
Alongside a clip from the photoshoot, she expressed admiration for Leibovitz’s recent project that showcases the diversity of modern women.
“I hope you feel as inspired as I do,” Michelle concluded her post.
In the photoshoot, President Obama showcased his athletic build in casual wear, and it seemed he was keen to emphasize his toned physique.
However, Michelle’s sudden change in appearance has led to some unsubstantiated theories suggesting she might have resorted to using medications like Ozempic to slim down.
One social media user alluded to the trend, saying they weren’t criticizing, just wanting honesty about the methods used.
Another commented on the accessibility of such treatments for those with financial means, while highlighting potential long-term consequences.
“It’s likely Ozempic,” remarked a third person, while others speculated on a strict workout regime or diet.
The local press has reached out for comments from President Obama’s representatives.
Back in 2022, Michelle discussed her experiences with weight gain during menopause, revealing that she had never focused much on her weight until the symptoms became evident and impacted her clothing choices.
She emphasized the importance of being mindful of health changes rather than obsessing over numbers on a scale.
President Obama has also touched on health and wellbeing, stating that maintaining his fitness is key to enjoying life free from discomfort or illness.
