Michelle, the wife of former Democrat President Barack Obama, has argued that being a mother would not want to pursue politics.

The former first lady told podcaster Kylie Kelse, wife of Philadelphia Eagles football player Jason Kelse that her daughter is her top priority right now. “I'm not going to lie.” Podcast.
“I was so happy when I left the White House,” she said. “I'm not going to lie.” The podcast was released on Thursday.
“I wanted them to have the freedom to not have the world's eyes,” she said of her daughters, Maria Obama, 26, and Sasha Obama, 23.
Despite rumors related to becoming a future Democratic presidential candidate, Michelle doubled and declared she had no interest in taking office.
“When people ask me, I run, the answer is no,” she told Kelse, before adding that those who propose to public office “don't know anything about the sacrifices your child makes when your child is in the role.”
During the podcast, the former first lady emphasized that her daughter is the reason why ideas never come to life.
“I'm not only interested in politics like that, but I also think of ideas that will bring my girl back to that spotlight when they're establishing themselves now,” she said. “Okay, I think we did enough.”
“They are already serving their time,” she added. “You can't think of it.”
“I wanted them to have the freedom they didn't have the eyes of the world,” she said of her girl.
“They still deal with paparazzi, who they are, and they are trying to carve out their identity.”
Mid-2024, Reuters/ISPO Polls show that Michelle is the only Democrat, leading Trump in a hypothetical head-to-head matchup, with 39% and 50% support.
When the family lived in the White House, Michelle's daughter was a teenager and she expressed her desire to make sure the girl had become “normal.” One example she discussed was to let him drive after receiving the license.
The former first lady produced headlines when she didn't accompany her husband to former President Jimmy Carter's funeral and President Donald Trump's inauguration.
