Michigan’s Democratic governor, Gretchen Whitmer, is facing backlash for providing rent subsidies to programs for illegal aliens after an illegal border crosser allegedly killed a woman.
A previously deported illegal alien, identified as Brandon Ortiz Vito, has been arrested and charged with the murder of 25-year-old Ruby Garcia in Kent County, Michigan. The illegal alien from Mexico was charged with murder, field murder, carjacking, carrying a concealed weapon and being a felon in possession of a firearm in the March 22 incident.

Ortiz-Vito is accused of killing Ruby Garcia and leaving her body on the side of the road on Route 31.
Even though news of the arrests is still recent, Whitmer is enthusiastic about her program, which provides $500 a month in housing subsidies to private homeowners who agree to take in immigrants.
A program called New tenant subsidyis set to provide A separate shelter from the national shelter for “refugees”. The assistance will be available to homeowners for up to one year, according to MLive.com.
“Payments will be made in three monthly installments. The first payment will be made once your application is approved,” the state aid guidance explains. “Additional payments will then be made.”
The state’s Republican Party has slammed Whitmer over the plan.
Tudor Dixon, a Republican running for governor in 2022, slammed Whitmer. saying According to Fox News, she said, “By handing out cash to those taking in unvetted illegal immigrants, Joe Biden’s open border policies are enabled and will undoubtedly endanger the safety of our neighborhoods and communities. “
“Less than a week after the murder of Ruby Garcia, Ms. Whitmer should immediately halt this program and demand that Mr. Biden secure our border for the benefit of Michiganders,” Dixon added. Ta.
