Michigan man charged with threatening to kill Biden, Harris, officials in X posts

A Michigan man was charged Sunday with threatening to kill President Biden, Vice President Harris and other government officials, according to reports. court record.

Russell Warren, 49, of Prudenville, Michigan, created a social media Post by Xformerly Twitter, has threatened officials and other prominent figures, including journalists, celebrities, former Trump administration cabinet members, all 2024 presidential candidates, and other politicians.

Warren’s X account, which was still public as of Monday, showed hundreds of messages sent on Friday and Saturday, some of which he called “Operation Revenge.” It lists dozens of people who it claims will be killed, and also describes itself as the “Lamb of God.”

Other messages include threats to destroy the Smithsonian Institution, Air Force One, Disney theme parks, One World Trade Center, Mount Rushmore, and more.

According to court documents, the U.S. Secret Service identified Warren through his IP address and arrested him on Monday. According to investigators, he was arrested in 2022 on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon.

Charges of threatening the president or other government officials can carry up to five years in prison. His next court appearance is scheduled for Friday.
