The new five-star recruit from the University of Michigan made the switch from LSU to the University of Michigan earlier this week, much to the delight of Wolverines fans following a disappointing finish to last year's national championship.

Underwood plays at nearby Belleville High School, where the Stallions are currently coaching. Stallions started the season as head coach at Mumford High School, but joined Belleville for the playoffs.
The quarterback is listed as the top high school prospect in the country by ESPN.
According to On3, the University of Michigan is willing to offer Underwood a four-year, $10.5 million NIL, an unprecedented amount for a player who never played a snap in college. The report added earlier this month that LSU expects Underwood to remain loyal to LSU after signing with the Tigers in January.

According to ESPN, Michigan State has been making moves to acquire Underwood in recent months, and the release of four-star recruit Carter Smith has sparked talk that Underwood could be on the move.
Stallions remains at the center of an investigation into an alleged off-campus sign-stealing operation, which resulted in Michigan suspending him in October 2023 and subsequently resigning from his position. An NCAA investigation also resulted in former head coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended for three games during last season's national championship appearance.
