Microsoft has unveiled a new series of AI-enhanced Windows PCs that aims to revolutionize the way users interact with their devices by integrating its Copilot AI assistant into the Windows operating system. This creepy system constantly takes screenshots of your activities and tracks your every move.
luck Report At an event held at the company’s headquarters in Redmond, Washington, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella introduced a new class of personal computers that incorporate AI, highlighting their potential to predict users’ needs and intentions. “We are entering a new era where computers can not only understand us, but actually predict what we want and what our intentions are,” Nadella said.

New AI-powered features include Windows Recall, which provides the Copilot assistant with a “photo memory” of a user’s virtual activities. Microsoft claims that it protects your privacy settings by filtering out unwanted tracking and allowing tracking data to be stored on the device itself.
The announcement comes amid growing competition from rival tech giants such as Google and OpenAI, which recently unveiled their own generative AI technologies. Google introduced a revamped search engine that incorporates AI-generated summaries and showed off its in-development AI assistant, Astra, that can interact with users based on visual input from a smartphone camera. Meanwhile, OpenAI unveiled a new version of its ChatGPT chatbot and demonstrated an AI voice assistant that can hold natural conversations and even assess a person’s emotions.
Scheduled to launch on June 18, Microsoft’s new AI-enhanced Windows PC will be available on devices manufactured by partners including Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and Samsung, as well as Microsoft’s own Surface series. However, these cutting-edge features are limited to premium models starting at $999.
