Migrant Who Had AR-15 During Alleged Assault on Officers is Back on Street

On November 5, 2024, an immigrant with unknown legal status was back on the streets after allegedly assaulting an NYPD officer while resisting arrest.

At the time of the incident, the immigrant had an AR-15 rifle in his backpack.

FOX News identified They noted that the immigrant was 20-year-old Abraham Sosa, and that a second immigrant, Christopher Maylen, allegedly interfered with officers as they tried to arrest Sosa.

The AR-15 fell from Sosa's backpack during the altercation with the officer.

Sosa and Mailen were eventually arrested and taken into custody, when Sosa was found to have one of the officers' cell phones in his possession.

A tattoo on Mr. Mailen's arm suggested he had ties to a Mexican cartel.

A Bronx detective told the Post: Mexican cartel members are running around. The tattoo is a sign that says “I'm a criminal.” I don't care about your laws. ”
