Migrant with loaded AR-15, suspected Mexican cartel member freed from jail after alleged assault on cops

A Big Apple immigrant and a Mexican cartel associate armed with loaded AR-15 assault rifles are both back on the streets despite an alleged gang attack with NYPD officers at a Bronx subway station.

Police said immigrant Abraham Sosa had the AR-15 rifle in his backpack when he scuffled with police at a Bronx subway station on Nov. 5.

However, Sosa was released after both thugs posted $25,000 bail, and Maylen was released without bail.

Officials say the tattoo on Maylen's arm links him to a vicious drug cartel.

“This is crazy,” one disgruntled Bronx detective told the Post Thursday. “Mexican cartel members are running around. Their tattoos are signs that say, 'I'm a criminal.' I don't care about your laws.

Police found him urinating in a subway tunnel and questioned him.

“Are you sure?” Sosa allegedly told the officers, according to the criminal complaint. “Is it to use the toilet?

“I hurt my ankle,” he told police. “Let me show you your ankles.”

But when police began handcuffing him, Sosa allegedly became frantic and fought back — at which point Mylen jumped in and began scuffling with the officers, knocking two of them to the ground.

I was both arrested, charged, and arraigned in Bronx Criminal Court the next day.

But Mr. Maylen was released without bail, and Mr. Sosa was sent to Rikers Island on $25,000 bail — which Mr. Sosa wrote on Nov. 12, according to jail records. .

Both men are scheduled to appear in court again on December 9th.
