Migrants brawl with boxing gloves in ‘fight club’ near NYC shelter — with onlookers egging them on: wild video

A parking lot near a Queens shelter turns into a violent scene straight out of the movie “Fight Club,” with migrants brawling in front of cameras as bloodthirsty onlookers bet on the fight. The Post reported that it was seen.

For at least a month, migrants living in the nearby La Quinta Inn shelter on Queens Boulevard in Long Island City have spent at least a month wearing boxing gloves in the McDonald’s parking lot across the street, according to footage from the scene. They say they beat each other up and are forgotten. A local employee witnessed several scuffles.

“Almost!” yelled another spectator amidst a flurry of punches.

After one of the fighters knocked his opponent to the pavement, several men cheered, hugged each other, and jumped up and down as one of them removed the winner’s glove.

And just like in the 1999 film based on Chuck Palahniuk’s book, the new Queens residents learn the first and second rules of fight club when grilled by the Post. I followed the “don’t talk about fight club” policy.

“It’s the students who are fighting, they are the ones who are fighting,” claimed one migrant washing a car behind the shelter, likely a hot-headed teenager from nearby Aviation High School and Queens Technical High School. It probably referred to us.

“It’s the kids, the students,” said another man as he waited for his delivery order. “That’s not good. They could get hurt.”

But workers nearby claimed migrants were behind the outdoor bloodbath.

“Fight clubs, FK clubs, drug distribution clubs… it’s the ultimate lawless area,” said a nearby auto parts salesman.

“There are so many issues that have been turned a blind eye, and this mess is the result.”

Amateur parking lot scrambles have taken place in the warm winter weather and have taken place three times in the last month, one local worker said, adding that other migrants were also seen nearby throwing drugs and soliciting prostitution. He claimed that he was

“They do it because they have nothing to do,” said the 29-year-old worker. “It’s getting out of control.”

More than 178,000 immigrants have entered the Big Apple since spring 2022, and at least 65,000 are currently in the city’s custody.

In recent months since then, the shelter and surrounding area have become a hotbed of violence and black market activity, including open drug dealing and rampant theft.

“They asked me why, and I said, ‘If I get hit by a car, I have to pay for the hospital bill.'”

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-Brooklyn/Staten Island) says City Hall is to blame for the surge in criminal activity sheltering and feeding asylum seekers for taxpayers’ 10 cents. Earlier this month, she called on Mayor Adams and other council members to repeal the city’s current law that would make it easier to deport immigrants accused of crimes.

“Why should New Yorkers have to pay for the food, housing and all the necessities of these lawbreakers?” she said.

“This crisis could end today if the mayor has the political will to stand up to far-left city councils and activists who continue to prioritize dealing with illegal immigration over the safety and security of citizens.”

An NYPD spokesperson said a group gathered outside a McDonald’s last Wednesday but was asked to leave and dispersed.
