Migrants who attacked NYPD officers in Times Squares fled to California

Four immigrants who were arrested and released on suspicion of attacking two New York City police officers near Times Square have reportedly fled to California.

The New York Post cited law enforcement officials as saying that Darwin Andres Gomez, 19, Kelvin Servita Arrocha, 19, Wilson Juarez, 21, and Yeoman Rebellon, Authorities believe the 24-year-old fled town after the incident.

Police believe the foursome safely boarded a bus to California on Wednesday after giving false names to a church-related nonprofit that helps migrants flee the Big Apple, the newspaper reported.

The group’s escape was successful as the suspects were released without bail after their arrest.

In a statement to FOX News Digital, a spokesperson for the New York Court Administration Office (OCA) said they do not know the whereabouts of Arrocha, Juarez, Rebellon, or Izquiel.

“While the court does not know the defendant’s whereabouts, the defendant is obligated to appear in court at the scheduled date,” said Al Baker, a spokesman for the state OCA.

The four immigrants were allegedly involved in an attack on two NYPD officers that was caught on camera, just outside the New Amsterdam Theater, a popular tourist attraction.

In the video, NYPD officers asked the migrants to move, but a scuffle ensued, with officers seen trying to push a person wearing a yellow jacket to the ground.

The footage then shows a hooded suspect wearing a backpack kicking the officer twice in the head as he grapples to the ground, while another suspect wearing a red top kicks him in the back.

As the struggle continued, the suspect wearing a red jacket returned and kicked the other officer in the back.

A second hooded suspect wearing a backpack then arrived at the scene and delivered a large swinging kick to the officer’s head. The migrant tried to kick him and fell to the ground.

The suspects were then seen running away. Police said the unidentified officers suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. One police officer suffered cuts to his face and another sustained bruises to his body, officials said.

Earlier this week, authorities charged the four people with various charges including assaulting a police officer, gang assault, obstruction of government, and disturbing the peace.

Rebellon has two pending cases in Manhattan. assault and robbery. He is accused of assaulting a loss prevention worker during a robbery at a Macy’s department store and punching and biting a Nordstrom Rack employee in November.

In addition to Arocha, Juarez, Leveron and Izquiel, Yoenly Brito, 24, and Jandry Barros, 21, were arrested and both were charged with robbery and assault with serious bodily injury.

On Thursday, Mr. Britt was arraigned on the felony charge by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and was held on $15,000 cash bail and $50,000 partial surety bond.

Barros was also arraigned on Thursday and released with his next hearing scheduled for February 21st.

The attack comes as city leaders struggle to cope with an influx of immigrants from Texas. That’s because services are strained and more and more residents are losing patience over how to deal with the surge.
