Mike Evans was set to be one of the biggest names on the free agent market when the NFL offseason officially began, but on Monday he decided to remain with the team that drafted him.
Evans has agreed to a contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He acknowledged the agreement in an Instagram post, posting a photo of himself in a Creamsicle Buccaneers jersey and a photo of Leonardo DiCaprio from The Wolf of Wall Street telling his co-workers, “I love you.” It was shown in a scene where he announced, “It’s not.” —I’m leaving.” Stratton Oakmont.

Evans is on pace to achieve the title of the greatest wide receiver in franchise history, a feat only Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice could achieve.
The five-time Pro Bowler has had 10 consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving. Rice played alongside Hall of Famers Joe Montana and Steve Young, and had 11 consecutive seasons with at least 1,000 yards receiving.

What makes Evans’ accomplishments even more impressive is that his starting quarterbacks have included Tom Brady, Jameis Winston, Josh McCown, and Baker Mayfield, with a slew of backup quarterbacks in between. .
Evans started the season with eight receptions, breaking Randy Moss’ record for consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. He is also the third player in NFL history to have 10 1,000-yard receiving seasons, joining Rice and Moss. Rice won 14 during his illustrious career.
Last season, Evans led the NFL with 13 touchdown catches for the first time. He also gained 1,255 receiving yards as Tampa Bay won the NFC South title.
