Mike Tyson says he barely remembers fight with Jake Paul

Mike Tyson said he “blacked out” during his fight with Jake Paul and only remembers a few key moments from the fight.

Tyson lost a decision to the younger Paul in a fight broadcast live on Netflix in November that drew more than 100 million viewers worldwide despite technical issues.

Rumors abounded after the fact about the legality of the fight and whether Tyson was contractually obligated not to throw a punch that would knock Paul out.

Appearing on FOX Sports Radio show “Steve Covino and Rich Davis Covino & Rich” Tyson was asked if he had “held back” from certain punches.

“I don't remember much about the fight. I just blacked out,” Tyson said.

Tyson explained that he had not yet seen the fight, adding: “I don't know what happened. I just have to show it to you.”

But the 58-year-old revealed he did remember.

“I remember coming back from the first round and the next thing I remember is Jake doing something…I don't know what he was doing.”

Tyson laughed and said he was alarmed at that moment because he thought Paul was going to hit him.

“That's the last thing I remember.”

The legendary fighter opened up to a radio host and said he was “a little down” after the fight's fanfare, but assured viewers that “it was a real fight.”

“My body was really hurting. My chest was really hurting, my stomach was really hurting,” he added.

Tyson subsequently explained that money was never a motivating factor in settling the fight.

“That money won't change my lifestyle,” he said, showing off his spotless home behind him.
