Mike White knows a thing or two about the Bills, and one Bill in particular.
White was the Jets' point guard and the quarterback is familiar with linebacker Matt Milano since one game when the Jets were in Buffalo for a December game.
During that game, Milano and defensive tackle Ed Oliver landed multiple hard hits on White, including some video game-like tackles.
White became their teammate, but he had one request.
“There's no way I'd be in the locker room with Matt Milano,” White joked to reporters.
The Bills quarterback also commented on what the first thing he'll do when he steps into Highmark Stadium.
“When I go to Highmark [Stadium] “I'm pretty sure there was some rib bone stuck in there at the 30-yard line,” White said of the hit.
Milano is currently out indefinitely with a torn biceps.
White said Oliver also apologised.
White was taken to a local hospital as a precaution following one hit he took in the 2022 game against the Bills.
“We obviously went against Mike,” general manager Brandon Beane told Bills Wire , “and I think everyone here is very familiar with his career in the AFC East. What I've always loved and respected about Mike is whether he's starting a game or coming in midway through the game, he comes in with everything he's got. He's not afraid.”
White played his first two NFL seasons with the Jets and spent the 2023 season with the Dolphins.
White has completed 196 passes for 2,219 yards and nine touchdowns in 14 NFL games.
White signed with the Bills' practice squad last week.
