Miley Cyrus recently reunited with her estranged father, Billy Ray Cyrus, to celebrate her brother Braison’s 31st birthday on Friday.
Billy Ray posted a family photo on Instagram, featuring Miley, who can be seen joyfully hugging her boyfriend, Max Moland.
“Happy Birthday Braison!!!!” he wrote, alongside some cheerful emojis.
Earlier in the week, the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer teased a possible reconciliation with Miley by sharing a clip of herself playing the piano.
“I can’t wait to see this wonderful young woman,” he added in that post, hinting at their reunion.
Meanwhile, fans noted that Miley’s mother, Tish, appeared to no longer follow Miley on Instagram, prompting speculation. However, sources quickly clarified that this was just a “glitch” and there wasn’t any ongoing drama between them.
The rift between Miley and her father became public in 2022 when her parents announced their divorce after almost three decades of marriage. Sources mentioned that this breakup complicated Miley’s relationship with her father, making it tough to connect with him.
Things worsened when Tish started dating actor Dominic Purcell, whom she married in 2023.
Interestingly, Miley’s sister, Noah, previously dated Purcell, which added layers to the family dynamic.
Billy Ray’s love life hasn’t been without its struggles either; his brief marriage to singer Philos ended amid controversy, and he recently announced a new relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley.
Earlier this year, family tensions resurfaced when Tish’s son, Trace Cyrus, expressed worry for his father after a disappointing performance at an event. His message indicated that Noah felt particularly distant from Billy Ray, claiming he had not been present in her life.
In addition to Miley, Trace, Noah, and Braison, Billy Ray is also the father of Brandi Cyrus, 37. The family’s complex dynamics continue to unfold.
