Miley Cyrus and her godmother, Dolly Parton, have similar ideas about welcoming children into the world.
During the interview W MagazineCyrus, 31, revealed that she’s not sure yet whether she’ll have kids of her own because she considers all of her fans part of her family, a statement similar to that made by Parton.
“I’m 31 now and I’m not sure if I want kids yet,” Cyrus told the outlet. “I feel like my fans are my kids in a way.”
Miley acknowledged that she’d heard Parton, who doesn’t have children, say similar things.

“I’ve heard Dolly say that too, because she didn’t have any children,” she said.

“Young couples think about having children, but for me it wasn’t something that was really urgent,” she told the outlet at the time. “I had my job, my music, I was traveling. If I had kids, I would have stayed home with them. I was definitely worried to death about them.”

The legendary country music artist added, “I always say the reason God didn’t make me have children is so that every child could be my child.”

Cyrus told W Magazine that she feels very happy with where she is at in her current stage of adulthood.
“I love being an adult,” she says, “and I have a rule that I never look anyone up or down. Just looking allows me to see the world as it is and people as they are. I look at myself in the mirror almost every day and say, ‘I am a woman.'”

In a cover story for W magazine, Cyrus questioned why it took her decades to be recognized by the music industry, given that she won her first Grammy Award this year and made her entertainment industry debut at just 12 years old in “Hannah Montana.”
“No offense, but I’ve been doing this for 20 years and this is the first time I’ve been taken seriously at the Grammys,” she asked. “I had a hard time understanding what the criteria were there. Because if you want to talk about statistics and numbers, where the hell was I? If you want to talk about cultural impact, where the hell was I?”
Miley continued, “This isn’t about arrogance. I’m proud of myself.”
