Millie Bobby Brown attempted to restore friendships with her 'Stranger Things' co-stars after the series concluded.

Millie Bobby Brown recently shared that she felt the need to apologize to her fellow cast members after “Stranger Things” concluded.

During a live recording of Josh Horowitz’s podcast “Happy Sad Confused” in New York City, the “Enola Holmes” actress opened up about experiencing a “mild depression” after wrapping up the popular Netflix series, which ran for five seasons. She described the transition as unexpectedly tough, suggesting that she had not anticipated such emotional fallout from the show. “I’m a very lucky person,” she added.

Brown mentioned her efforts to mend any frayed relationships with co-stars such as David Harbour, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Winona Ryder.

She recalled asking, “We’re still friends, right? Are you going to stop talking to me?” and expressed her desire to maintain their bond, saying, “I’m sorry if I offended you… it’s been 10 years. I really want to be friends. You’re my brother.”

Brown described a poignant moment at the beach where she cried, overwhelmed by its beauty, emphasizing that this period was very challenging for her.

At 22, she reflected on the profound influence that her role as Eleven had on her life. The series, which began when she was just 10, became a significant part of her upbringing, creating deep ties to the characters and her fellow cast members.

She lamented the emotional weight of saying goodbye after a decade, stating, “I will miss Eleven more than anything.”

There were some bumps along the way during filming, particularly with Harbour, who portrayed her character’s adoptive father, Chief Jim Hopper. However, it seems they’ve since patched things up.

Ahead of the Season 5 premiere last November, it was reported that Brown had raised concerns about Harbour before the final season began, which led to an internal investigation. The specifics of that inquiry remained unclear. There were also reports that Brown filmed the series finale with a personal representative present.

Despite earlier tensions, Harbour and Brown appeared friendly during the final premiere in November 2025. He noted that while disagreements occurred—common in any family—they ultimately respected each other, adding, “We always will.” He also touched on how the environment of today often makes people hesitant to discuss their feelings, suggesting that such openness is essential.

“It was completely normal,” he concluded, affirming their mutual respect.
