Millie Bobby Brown Defends Husband Against Online Criticism

Millie Bobby Brown has come to her husband’s defense after a social media user labeled him a bad parent. During a chat on Kylie Kelsey’s podcast, the 22-year-old actress stood up for her husband, Jake Bongiovi, amidst criticism over him not helping her carry her luggage or push a stroller.

Brown expressed her frustration, saying, “Since when can women not have their own bags and car seats? Just because I have all my bags, people are saying, ‘Your husband has nothing,’ while I’m three miles away. I’ve been planning this all night.” She emphasized that “nobody knows my husband,” explaining that he is “the most polite, kind, would-do-anything-for-me” type of person who recognizes her abilities.

She pointed out an inconsistency in how society views such situations, stating, “We’re all about empowering girls, but when I carry my own bags, people ask, ‘Where’s your husband?'” While some listeners supported her perspective, others had a different take. One commenter noted that it seems unfair for Bongiovi to sit by while she manages heavy luggage alone.

Responding to the mixed reactions on social media, another fan sided with Brown, noting their own relationship dynamics and how it mirrors hers: “My husband is always there for me, but he also knows that I can take care of myself.”

Relationship Insights and Future Plans

Brown, who wed Bongiovi in May 2024, shared that she never anticipated getting married, but her feelings shifted when she met him. She revealed, “When I met Jake, I felt like it was okay to be loud. He encouraged me to love myself more.” The couple adopted a baby girl in August 2025, keeping her life private.

During the podcast, Brown also reflected on her aspirations for more children, saying, “I hope that someday that’s in my future.” She had initially studied social work but transitioned to veterinary medicine, citing her love for animals and a desire to support the adoption process, which she finds deeply meaningful.
