Authorities in Cloquet, Minn., responded to a shooting at a Super 8 motel Monday night.
Police said the area was secured. Officers found a deceased person, believed to be the shooter, at the scene.
Police had earlier warned the public to evacuate the area. Police said the shooting occurred at the Super 8 Motel on Big Lake Road and Highway 33 and resulted in “multiple victims.”

The number of victims and the extent of their injuries are unknown at this time.
“If you are currently in the affected area, evacuate immediately. If possible, go to a locked room, close and lock all windows and doors, and remain quiet. If you see anything suspicious, call 911. Please report the incident to ,” police said in an earlier statement. news release.
